This Privacy Policy describes how The COMPLETE Equine Encyclopedia Of Breeds (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our iOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the App. This includes:

• Subscription and purchase data — managed by RevenueCat, our third-party subscription platform. This includes your Apple App Store receipt, a randomly generated anonymous user identifier, and your subscription status (active, expired, trial, etc.).
• Favorites — the list of horse breeds you mark as favorites is stored locally on your device only, using Apple’s AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to:

• Verify and manage your subscription entitlement (“premium access”)
• Restore your purchases across devices
• Provide access to content according to your subscription tier

We do not use your information for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose other than operating the App.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses RevenueCat to process in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your Apple App Store receipt and assigns an anonymous identifier to manage your subscription state. RevenueCat does not receive your Apple ID, name, or email address.

The App displays horse breed photos sourced from Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons via their public API. No personal data is sent to Wikipedia during this process; requests are made with your device’s standard network connection.

4. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your information with any third party, except as described in Section 3 (RevenueCat subscription processing) or as required by law.

5. Data Retention

Subscription data managed by RevenueCat is retained as long as your account exists in their system, in accordance with their privacy policy. Favorites data stored on your device is retained until you delete the App or clear its data.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. The App is rated 4+ and contains no content inappropriate for children.

7. Your Rights

Because we collect no personal data beyond anonymous subscription identifiers, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. If you cancel your subscription, RevenueCat will retain receipt data per their retention policy. To delete your subscription data from RevenueCat, please contact us and we will submit a deletion request on your behalf.

8. Security

All communication between the App and external services (RevenueCat, Wikipedia) uses HTTPS encryption. We do not operate our own servers that store personal data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date below. Continued use of the App after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
